FORTY-FIVE jobs will be created when a Huddersfield-based residential care group opens its fifth home.

The Aden Group is expanding into a purpose-built site at Perseverance Street, Primrose Hill.

The new home, due to open in July, is expected to accommodate up to 45 residents.

The company has about 190 residents and 190 staff across its four sites.

Bosses said they put much of the credit for the group's expansion down to its recent achievement of the Investor in People standard.

Staff development manager Sharon Pollitt-Lye said: "Investor in People status has been invaluable to us in many ways, not least in helping us to develop our management structure and practices, in recruiting and retaining staff and increasing employee loyalty and staff motivation.

"It has given us a framework to continuously review and develop our most important asset - our staff - in a consistent and objective way by way of regular reviews and appraisals.

"We are in the caring industry so it was appropriate that we invest in our own people in the best possible manner."
