THE Mayor of Kirklees has seen how the Home Service Library operates.

More than 1,000 house-bound people have books delivered to their door in Kirklees.

Clr Andrew Palfreeman joined the library van last week as it paid a visit to Reene and Colin Skippins in Dewsbury.

The service has been running for 45 years, delivering books once a fortnight to 1,038 people who are disabled, elderly or visually-impaired.
