HOODED vandals have attacked a Honley business THREE times in THREE weeks.

Now car dealer Glynn Mosley believes he has been targeted by someone with a grudge.

Vandals have slashed tyres and smashed windows on cars belonging to Westwood Motors, New Mill Road, Honley, causing £12,000 damage.

Two hooded men slashed 51 tyres on 19 vehicles at around 9.15pm on August 7.

Vandals returned to burst a further 51 tyres at around 3.15am on August 20.

And the following night, a lone yob smashed 20 windows on vehicles parked on the forecourt.

Mr Mosley, who has run the used car business since 1997, believes he has become the victim of a vendetta.

While all three attacks were caught on CCTV, Mr Mosley says he has been unable to identify the culprits as they were wearing hoods..

Now Mr Mosley, of New Mill, has been forced to move cars from the forecourt to a secret location at night.

He has also employed two night watchmen.

Mr Mosley said: “I’ve never had much vandalism in the past, maybe the odd bonnet scratched.

“I keep right with the people that live here, young and old.

“I don’t think it’s random. I think the three incidents are connected.

“I haven’t a clue why someone is doing this.

“They’ve caused me a lot of stress and extra work. I’m having to pay security at night now.

“It sometimes makes you feel like jacking it in but you go on fighting.

“Someone will know who has done this and it will be passed around. It always comes out. This is a small community.

“If anyone has seen anything I want them to call the police or come and see me.”

One suspect in the first two incidents is described as tall and of ‘skinny’ build.

He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a grey hooded top and a baseball cap.
