HONLEY High School pupils showed their thirst for business when they took part in a Coca Cola challenge.

A team of eight Year 10 pupils took part in the soft drink giant's Business Challenge.

They represented one of 10 West Yorkshire schools taking part in the event at the Elland Road stadium in Leeds.

The teams were set the challenge of designing and presenting a new soft drink.

They had 90 minutes to design their drink and create a Powerpoint display.

They then had to present their three-minute presentation to the other schools.

Honley pupils opted for a drink aimed at very young people.

Their design impressed judges, and they were selected to go through to the Yorkshire region final, to be held in Doncaster on November 17.

If they are successful in the regional final, they could represent Yorkshire in the London grand final.

Teacher John Cotgrave said: "We were awarded a trophy for our efforts and we really look forward to the final round."

The other school selected for the final was Thornton Grammar School, in Bradford.
