FESTIVE family fun was on offer when Kirkwood Hospice held its Christmas fair.

The hospice, at Dalton, raised funds towards its running costs from the fair on Sunday.

Santa and his elves were in a grotto donated by KD Decoratives of Lockwood to dispense gifts to children.

And there were stalls full of gifts for people to do some early Christmas shopping.

Entertainment was by Lindley Band, Marsh Ladies’ Choir and a group of young singers from Highburton First School.

There was also a Christmas cafe, serving soup, hot turkey sandwiches and other refreshments.

The family fair followed on from a quieter event on Friday night designed to let people browse for gifts in a more peaceful but still festive atmosphere.
