A HOSPICE has today issued an urgent plea for volunteers to help them with a festive fundraising drive.
Kirkwood Hospice in Dalton has teamed up with Marks and Spencer in Huddersfield to set up the scheme.
Volunteers are needed to pack customer's bags in the food hall at King Street between 9am and 4pm on December 22.
It will help the hospice to fund its services.

* Kirkwood Hospice cares for local people who have a life-threatening illness, for example cancer or severe lung disease.
Although it is based in Huddersfield, the hospice cares for people from all over the Kirklees area.
This includes Batley, Cleckheaton, Dewsbury, Heckmondwike, Holmfirth and Mirfield.
