HEALTH bosses in Huddersfield are refusing to say how they came to employ a woman who provided them with a false ID.
Single mum Michelle James started as a cleaner.
She later became an auxiliary and then a rehabilitative assistant. The therapy workers often visit people's homes.
A court heard how she worked under the false name of Michelle Marsden and also gave a fake National Insurance number.
James, 34, of White Hart Drive, Newsome, was jailed last Friday for 12 months for a £32,000 benefits fraud.
She failed to tell the Department of Work and Pensions about her work, prosecutors said.
NHS officials refused to tell the Examiner how James got a job despite her false details.
A spokesman for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust, said: "We are unable to comment about a current or previous individual's employment history owing to the provisions of the Data Protection Act.
"The Trust undertakes all necessary employment checks in accordance with current NHS guidance."
Mum-of-two James led a "reasonably good life" on the £100-a- week benefits she falsely claimed, the judge said last week.
