There have been big changes in Huddersfield over recent years.
The gallery of photographs from the 1960s and 70s showing the evolution (and some may say destruction) of the town centre and historic buildings illustrate the rapid pace of change.
This set of images shows our area just under 30 years ago.
Many of the new developments to create housing in Huddersfield were already in place - but there are a few new ones not captured on the pictures.
Conversely a number of old mills and other buildings pictured have now disappeared from the landscape.
