A HUDDERSFIELD academic has earned a national award.
Prof Colin Drury, author of the world-leading management accounting textbook Management and Cost Accounting, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the British Accounting Association.
It is in recognition of the significant contribution he has made to academic accounting and finance over the course of his career.
Prof Drury has published widely throughout his career, and Management and Cost Accounting is Europe’s best-selling management accounting textbook.
His books are used as core texts at leading universities throughout Europe, South Africa, South East Asia and Australia and have been translated into Russian, Polish, Dutch and Italian.
He has also acted as cost management advisor to one of the major international consultancy firms and served on several committees of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
