ASPIRING actress Laura Crowther dreamt of West End stardom.

But in her quest for fame, the former University of Huddersfield music and drama student felt she was being held back by her busty physique.

Now, after years of turmoil, the 23-year-old actress has taken the brave decision to reduce her 34GG breasts seven sizes to a 36D.

Laura said she had been longing for the surgery since she was just 19-years-old as her petite 5ft 5ins frame made her large chest even more prominent.

She explained: “At dance auditions I couldn’t really give it my all.

“I wasn’t putting myself up for things because I knew I didn’t look right for them.

“I danced for years in Huddersfield at the Strickland Cook Theatre School and it was something I always loved doing but I just couldn’t do it anymore.

“My boobs also made me look bigger than I was and I was always being put up for fat parts.

“After university I went to the Royal Academy for Music in London but I felt uncomfortable.

“I thought about it all that year as my boobs made me look so big compared to the other girls.”

Laura’s main fear was that she would be left with scarring, but after four years of wanting surgery she finally took the plunge last summer and elected to have the operation.

The surgery was done at The Harley Medical Group’s Manchester practice last January.

Now having had six pounds of tissue removed the former Colne Valley High School pupil says she is delighted with the results.

“My confidence because of it has really increased, it’s a life changing thing. I’ve got a lot more confidence about the clothes I can wear.

“I’ve just signed up to appear at the Thursford Christmas Spectacular in Norfolk.

“I did it before with bigger boobs and they had to re-enforce my costume.

“This year it will be nice to wear the same outfits as everyone else.”

Laura, who now lives in London, said she was planning to attend as many auditions as she could and now felt more determined to achieve her aim of appearing in a West End show.

And she said the benefits of the surgery had been more than just aesthetic.

She added: “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done, not just career wise but health wise as well.

“Now I can stand up straight and the headaches and neck ache I used to get from the weight of my boobs are gone.

“I remember being sat in the waiting room and seeing all these girls going for bigger boobs and I wished I could say to them ‘don’t do it’.”
