THREE women were rewarded for their work as graduates.
The members of the Huddersfield Association of University Graduates were commended at an event at St John’s Church Hall in Lepton on Saturday.
President of the association, Lynn Free, awarded two women postgraduates prizes for their work.
Martina Whitehead was given an award for her work at the university’s school of applied sciences and gave a short talk on her studies.
Tahina Akther, a barrister, was commended for her work.
Members of the association also acknowledged the doctorate of Imogen Long who conducted research on women intellectuals in France.
