A HUDDERSFIELD band are in the running to become the first unsigned act to make it into the UK charts.
Birchencliffe based electro-synth performers Destination are taking part in the ‘Let’s get a genuine unsigned band into the charts’ competition.
Destination are a boy/girl duo, Glynn Jaine and Bridget Gray.
The competition has been running on Facebook for several weeks and has shortlisted down from more than 300 entries to the final 10 acts.
The organisers hope the majority of the 8,500 strong group supporting the competition so far will then buy the song by the winning band on iTunes, enabling it to make the UK Top 40.
Voting ends at midnight this Saturday and currently Destination are trailing the leaders by just one vote.
