A TRIO of Huddersfield bar staff will be scaling new heights when they take part in a 500ft long charity zip slide.
Herbert’s Bar in Cross Church Street has got behind The Laura Craine Youth Cancer Trust to take part in a thrilling 65ft high zipslide across the Galpharm Stadium on September 8.
Manager Gemma Priestley said: “There are three of us doing it and we hope to raise at least £500.
“A friend of mine told me about it and I thought it would be a good way of engaging with the community.
“I am not that keen on heights so it’s quite daunting but its for such an amazing cause it will be worth it.”
The Herbert’s event goers includes Ashley Haigh and Philip Barden who will join other plucky fundraisers to take the leap.
