X FACTOR stars are coming to Huddersfield.

But this is not just a one-off booking of last year’s forgotten failures.

Excited bosses at town centre bar Tokyo have signed a deal for all of this year’s X Factor finalists to sing live at the Queen Street club – starting next week.

In a top deal approved by Simon Cowell himself, the weekly Friday night performances will see the ‘wannabe’ pop stars perform tracks from the hit ITV show before meeting and greeting fans.

All the finalists up to the winner and the second place act have been confirmed – starting on December 4 with girl band Kandy Rain.

But judge Simon Cowell will decide if this year’s winner and runner-up will perform nearer the time.

And four lucky Examiner readers now have a chance to win free VIP entry.

Tokyo chief Nigel Holliday said it had taken weeks of negotiation to secure the X Factor stars.

He said: “We’re really, really pleased.

“Hopefully the people of Huddersfield will be really impressed to see X Factor stars off the telly singing in their local club.

“We’re really excited to have secured these guys to come to Huddersfield as they usually only do the major cities.

“We’ve done a joint deal for all our clubs so they’ll be playing Oldham and Bradford on Saturdays and Huddersfield on Fridays.

“Friday has always been a quiet night in Huddersfield so hopefully people will get off their sofas and come out.”

Mr Holliday said the final two acts had been booked but had “wriggle out” clauses in their contracts in case Simon Cowell thought they were too busy with national TV commitments.

The events will be for over 18s only and the X Factor stars will take to the stage at some point after midnight.

Tickets will be £6/£5 students/concessions on the door.
