Roadshows to explain plans for a new blueprint for healthcare in Huddersfield and Calderdale begin next week.
Health chiefs are bidding to shake-up services and say they could downgrade either Halifax or Huddersfield’s A&E unit.
The wide ranging plans include a move to cut beds across the Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital and move more care into the community.
A proposal to downgrade both hospitals’ A&Es has also not been ruled out.
The controversial plans have already sparked protests and a rally in Halifax last weekend.
MPs, health watchdogs and members of the public have all voiced their concerns over the proposals.
Now members of the public are being invited to official public drop-in sessions at locations across Huddersfield and Calderdale.
The road shows will be hosted by health professionals who say they will be available for a cup of tea and a chat during the five-hour-long open days.
Drop-in sessions are from 2pm to 7pm at the following locations:
Tuesday, April 8 - Fartown Village Hall. Thursday, April 10 - New Beginnings@ Threeways, Halifax. Wednesday, May 28 - Salendine Nook YMCA. Friday, May 30 - Slaithwaite Village Hall. Monday, June 2 - Mytholmroyd Community Centre. Wednesday, June 4 - Brighouse Civic Hall. Thursday, June 5 - Kirkburton, The Hub. Monday, June 9 - Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre, Halifax. Wednesday, June 11 - Holmfirth Civic Hall. Thursday, June 12 - Todmorden Health Centre.
