THEY have already cycled from Huddersfield to Brighton to raise cash for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA).

Now two cyclists have gone the extra mile by donating Huddersfield Town season tickets to the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

Mark Ronan and Curtis Paxman were two of 160 cyclists to take on the epic 160-mile ride in aid of the Keep It Up campaign to boost both the YAA and Huddersfield Town Academy.

Prior to the ride, the cyclists were given a challenge to raise at least £1,000 each and in return they would be given a free 2011/12 season ticket.

Having completed their end of the bargain Curtis and Mark decided to donate their season tickets to the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

And due to sponsorship received, they have managed to provide the hospice a total of four season tickets to enable carers, families and children to enjoy Terriers games at the Galpharm this season.

Curtis said: “The ticket donation is a real pleasure for myself as I know that the tickets will be put to good use and will give children and families the opportunity to go and watch Huddersfield Town and enjoy a day out at the Stadium.”

Mark added: “We decided to donate our tickets to good causes and we feel the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is a fantastic charity doing excellent work in the support of families in difficult times.

“We hope the football tickets bring a little relief to staff, carers and families.”

The Forget Me Not Trust has also been given a further four season tickets by the club.

They have been split between the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and Hollybank Trust.
