Motorists are facing weeks of delays and diversions as gas main replacement starts on four roads around Huddersfield.

Meg Lane in Longwood was closed on Monday for three weeks between Lower Gate and Longwood Road.

Pedestrians can still pass through the stretch of road but motorists must divert via Lower Gate and Longwood Road.

High Lane in Hall Bower will be closed for nine days from Saturday February 13. The road will be shut between 43 High Lane and Jackroyd Lane.

There will be diversions via Jackroyd Lane, Newsome Road, Tunnacliffe Road, Wood Lane, Longley Lane and Ashes Lane.
