A SUDDEN death of a young actor last summer was from heart disease.
An inquest in Huddersfield heard yesterday how Andrew Spencer, 33, died at the family home he shared with his parents Ray and Lesley in Waterloo.
It was unclear exactly how the talented performer, who suffered from epilepsy, had died.
Yesterday, his family finally found out the nature of their son’s death.
Coroner Roger Whittaker recorded a verdict of death from natural causes due to cardiomyopathy.
Mr Spencer was the nephew of well-known Huddersfield dance teacher Audrey Spencer and was a dance professional for many years.
He was a member of Huddersfield Light Opera Company and was well known for his comic roles.
He also helped out many other operatic societies, including Lindley.
Following his death, his parents have set up the Andrew Spencer Memorial Trust to support local groups within the community that are involved in the arts and sports activities that Andrew was so involved in.
