A HUDDERSFIELD dance school has continued its winning streak at top contests around the region.

Pupils from the Patricia Stoj Dance School cleaned up at the Three Graces Stage Dance Festival in Rothwell near Leeds.

The Milnsbridge-based school competed against 12 others, winning a hatful of silverware and the Teacher’s Trophy for the most points, for the second year on the trot.

Pupils also brought home the Teacher’s Trophy at last September’s Eden Dance Festival in Dewsbury.

The haul of prizes at the Leeds contest was all the more impressive because many of the school’s senior dancers have moved on.

Patricia said: ‘’We’ve been left with a very young school so it’s really nice we can continue the success with the youngsters holding the fort.

“They did really well considering a lot of the big girls weren’t a part of it this time.”

Notable winners included 16-year-old Natalie Dungan who won the most prestigious class, the F-Modern, and James Mallinson, six, who took home a brace of titles for his modern and national dances.
