Drivers faced delays this morning after a lorry shed part of its load in Huddersfield.

A large amount of rubble and waste slipped from the lorry at the junction of Castlegate and St John’s Road.

Police called to the scene said the road had remained open but confirmed there were “delays”.

No-one was injured.

Kirklees Council’s highways workers were called to the scene to remove the rubble from the road.
