THEY’RE used to wowing the crowds with their impressive ball skills.

But Huddersfield Giants fans are getting the chance to see their idols in a new role – disrobing in the name of charity!

Fifteen members of the team agreed to bare all for the calendar to raise money for the Laura Crane Trust, the Giant’s nominated charity.

And pre-sales of the calendar – which was officially launched last night – have also taken off with fans queuing up to get a glimpse of the stars minus their famous claret and gold kit.

Pam Thornes, fundraising manager for the Huddersfield-based charity, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the response, people from places as far away as Sussex and up to Scotland have ordered the calendars.

“We’ve had lads ordering them as Christmas presents for their wives and girlfriends and ladies ordering them 12 at a time for stocking fillers.

“They really do seem to have generated quite a lot of excitement – at this rate we are going to sell out and may have to have more printed!”

The calendar shoot saw the players get their kit off in all kinds of weird and wonderful locations, including Christmas decorations suppliers K D Decoratives and Titanic Spa.

Pam said: “They were brilliant sports, turning up at the most bizarre locations and getting their kit off.”

The calendar is priced £5 from or ring 01484 510013 or visit the Giants shop.
