GIANTS swapped their walk from the tunnel for a stroll down the catwalk.

Top players from the club were in fashion action for charity.

Stand off Kevin Brown, prop Larne Patrick, second row Danny Kirmond and hooker Shaun Lunt paraded in designer threads to raise cash for the Laura Crane Trust.

The event, at the Grosvenor Casino in Folly Hall, raised about £750 for the charity which provides support for teenage and young adult cancer patients.

Male and female guests including Giants fans whooped and whistled as the players took their turn to model clothes supplied by House of Fraser, Kingsgate.

Joining the Giants on the catwalk were female staff from House of Fraser.

Giants back row and Laura Crane Trust youth ambassador Andy Raleigh spoke of the work of the trust, which was the club’s official charity for 2010.

The event also included a raffle and auction with prizes donated by the casino.

Trust manager Pam Thornes said: "It was wonderful.

"People enjoyed the night and the fun aspect of the Giants taking part.

"The Giants were brilliant. They were embarrassed to start with but they enjoyed it after and the ladies really loved them.

"It was so nice that so many were willing to volunteer for our charity and they had such a good time."
