EIGHT Huddersfield streets could benefit from new grit bins.

Councillors have been asked to come up with £10,400 to install, fill and refill the bins for five years.

Kirklees Council’s Huddersfield Area Committee will rule on the plan at a meeting at Huddersfield Town Hall from 7pm on August 7.

The bins would be in:

Thornfield Road, Lockwood

Junction of Dryclough Road and Woodside Road, Crosland Moor

Rafborn Avenue, Lindley

Cowrakes Road near junction with Gatesgarth Crescent, Lindley

Wellfield Road, Lindley

Wyvern Avenue, Oakes

Mansion Gardens, Taylor Hill

Manor Street, Newsome.
