A Huddersfield hair stylist is brushing shoulders with the stars of the modeling industry with a stint at Paris Fashion Week.

Ollie Thomas, 30, who helped launched Hair Haus in Northumberland Street back in November, set up a contact with a New York based agency a few years ago and began styling hair at London Fashion Week.

From there he landed his all time dream goal of being part of Paris Fashion Week where he has styled hair for couture fashion houses Dior and Kenzo.

And he must be impressing them as he has has once again secured a contract for arguably the hottest fashion event in the world.

Ollie of Sowerby Bridge told the Examiner before he flew off to Paris: “I’ve been to London Fashion Week this year and I was styling for Topshop and J.W.Anderson. The look was very natural and flowing and tousled.

“I am now going to Paris and I am doing Dior, Kenzo and Tom Brown.

“I can’t say much more as the details of the styles are closely guarded up until the show.

“They can be really long days starting at 5am and finishing at 8pm.

“I can see as many as 40-50 models a day and do two shows at different sides of Paris.

“It is good fun. I then like to come back and share what I’ve learned with the team.”

As well as helping run the salon, Ollie also travels up and down the country as a key educator for the salon exclusive hair brand Kevin.Murphy, teaching in salon giving hairdressers all the latest product knowledge.

Oliver’s runs the salon with partner Abbi who is also senior stylist and qualified trainer.
