A HAIRDRESSERS is doubling up as an exhibition space.

Czar Men’s Hairdressing in Imperial Arcade will become a hub of creativity.

Today, from 5pm, the first of the salon’s exhibitions will launch with 16 pieces of work by former Kirklees College student Richard Taylor and Mark Harrison.

At the event, which is free and open for all to attend, there will be DJ sessions and open performances for musicians to perform.

The art collections will remain in the hairdressers for six weeks before a new exhibition opens.

Organiser Anna Obbard said: It’s a chance for us to encourage new artists to exhibit their work as their first step.

“The hairdressers is a good place because people have the chance to sit and view the work.”

Go along to Czar Men’s Hairdressing from 5pm – 10pm today for the exhibition launch night.
