ZOMBIES are set to drag their dead bodies round the streets of Huddersfield for charity.

More than 200 people are expected to take part in this year’s Huddersfield Halloween Zombie Slouch.

The event, back for a fifth year, involves people dressing up as zombies and parading through Huddersfield town centre.

The October 29 fundraiser will feature a new twist this year with a Mexican Day of the Dead theme.

This year organisers are also running adult craft nights in the run up to the event.

The events at The Blue Rooms in Byram Arcade on October 18 and 26 will be hosted by artists to help participants create their own Day of the Dead accessories.

Kirkgate venue The Parish will also be getting into the spirit with post slouch music including one of the UK’s top zombie horror bands.

The Zombie Slouch is supporting Survival International, a charity that fights for the rights of tribal people.
