A MURDER mystery TV drama has been filmed in Huddersfield.

The drama, called If I Had You, is a one-off two-hour film and also features the Peak District.

The filming has been in Holmfirth, Hepworth and Lindley and at Ladybower Dam (pictured) over the border in Derbyshire.

The drama stars Liverpool-born actor Paul McGann (Hornblower, The One That Got Away, Empire Of The Sun and The Monocled Mutineer). Co-stars include Sarah Parish (Peak Practice and Cutting It), and Mark Benton (Booze Cruise, Clocking Off, Planespotting and Murphy's Law).

The story focuses on Pc Sharon Myers (Sarah Parish) who had fled city life to be reunited with her childhood best friend Helen (Poppy Miller) who is now married and heavily pregnant.

But within days of arriving in the sleepy village, Sharon finds herself at the forefront of a murder inquiry when a body is found in a reservoir, and she becomes entangled in a passionate affair as she delves deeper into the crime.

The film is being made by Granada.
