PEOPLE who think they may be suffering from hearing loss are being offered a free test.
Phil Spencely, hearcare director at Specsavers in Huddersfield, said: “There seems to be a stigma surrounding both hearing loss and the correctional devices used to manage the symptoms. It is also a common misconception that hearing loss generally only occurs with old age.”
Portable music players with earphones were putting young people at risk more and more, he said.
