Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table tidy Oakes pensioner Brian Handley’s garden

A TV style makeover has helped make a wish come true for an Oakes pensioner.

Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table ran its annual Christmas Wish campaign in conjunction with The Examiner in December.

And Mrs Karen Whitehead made a wish for a garden tidy for her father Brian Handley.

Members of Pendragon were more than happy to oblige and, armed with gardening equipment, undertook some weeding, painting and tidying up of the garden.

Jonathan Turton, newly elected vice chairman of Huddersfield Pendragon, said: “It was a great day, made all the better by the sunny weather, and we were more than happy to give Brian a helping hand.”
