PEOPLE in Huddersfield are being invited to nominate a charity to benefit from a year’s worth of fundraising.
The Market Street store of Sainsbury’s is looking for its third Local Charity Partner to support.
The organisation will receive 12 months of fundraising and support from the store and its customers.
Customers are being urged to put forward the names of charities in Huddersfield that are important to them.
Last year the store’s Local Charity Partner was the Joseph Salmon Trust and staff helped it raise more than £5,000.
Last year Sainsbury’s stores and their customers gave more than £1.3m to 800 charities through fundraising and volunteering.
Store manager Colin Meah said: “The scheme really encourages both our colleagues and customers. This is a great opportunity to give a local charity that’s close to our hearts the chance to receive fundraising and other support for a whole year.”
Customers have until May 25 to nominate charities by filling out a form and popping it into a voting box at the front of the store.
