A MAN was detained for his own safety after police officers found him hiding in a bush.
Cheshire police asked Huddersfield officers for help after a tip-off that he may be in the Cooper Bridge area.
They found a vehicle linked to him near to the Old Mill pub, Wakefield Road, and a wider search took place involving foot patrol officers, the dog unit and the Force helicopter.
The man phoned police to say he was watching them. Officers then found him hiding in a bush and took him to safety.
