TEACHERS are travelling to Besancon to learn about French culture.

The British Council is funding the trip to the town, which is twinned with Kirklees. Staff from primary schools at Bradley, Helme, Moldgreen, Holme, Holmfirth, Chickenley and Meltham will visit the town from March 21 to 23. Moldgreen head teacher Shirley Norris said: “As a multi-cultural school we are well aware that we are part of a global community, and our link with Besançon is an excellent opportunity for our children to directly relate with French children.”
