PREPARATIONS are on track for an annual train open day.

Members of Huddersfield Railway Modellers are busy laying out tracks for tomorrow’s (September 19) event.

Visitors to the free open day can see five layouts in action and members will be on hand to answer any questions.

Club spokesman Graham Harpham said: "A lot of people have layouts that they bought for their kids for Christmas that they may be looking to expand. We can help them with advice."

The open day runs from 10am to 4pm at Stonefield Mills on Tanyard Road in Milnsbridge.
