MEDICS took part in the national moustache challenge.

Male members of the A&E teams at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital raised their game as part of the male health awareness campaign Movember.

November was renamed as men across the country stopped shaving and grew moustaches to promote awareness about men’s health issues particularly about prostate and testicular cancer.

Consultant Andy Lockey, said: “As a team our male staff thought it would be a great effort for a good cause and share some fun along the way.

“There was a serious campaign behind the fun and that was to improve awareness about men’s health.”

The staff taking part gave donations to the Movember charity which funds cancer research.
