A SHOP worker has appeared in court accused of filming a woman as she used a toilet.

Waheed Rehman, of Stile Common Road in Primrose Hill, was before Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court.

The 32-year-old is accused of recording a person doing a private act for the purpose of sexual gratification.

He was also charged with installing equipment to observe another at Newsome Convenience Store on Newsome Road.

The charges are dated between May 26 and May 29 last year.

The alleged victim is a worker at a cigarette stand outside the shop, who was allowed to use the facilities inside.

There she noticed a mobile phone in the area which had been recording her.

When the woman looked at the phone she found further images of her using the toilet.

Rehman faces trial at Bradford Crown Court.

He will next appear before the magistrates’ court on December 9 when the case is likely to be committed.
