SPORTS fans are being urged to get involved with next year’s Rugby League World Cup when it comes to Huddersfield.

There are plenty of ways for people to show their support as volunteers.

Roles up for grabs include team liaison, match day assistants, marketing, media centre staff as well as plenty of others.

Volunteers from Huddersfield could even find themselves involved in a game on their doorstep.

England are set to play Ireland at the John Smith’s Stadium next November.

Gamesmakers at the recent Olympics and Paralympics have been widely recognised as setting the standard for volunteering.

This is a chance for fans to be part of the biggest sporting event of 2013.

Volunteers will be given training and support, along with a uniform and some tickets.

The closing date for applications in Nov 30.
