HUDDERSFIELD Town legend Andy Booth received a generous donation on behalf of a charity caring for children and adults with physical disabilities.
Andy Schofield, manager of Whiteleys Garden Centre in Mirfield, handed over a cheque for £940 to the former Town centre forward.
The money will go straight to Mirfield charity Hollybank Trust, at Far Common Road, to help improve the lives of some of society’s most vulnerable disabled people.
Whiteleys, which is situated just over the road from Hollybank, has supported the charity for more than six years.
Over the Christmas period the garden centre donates 50p to Hollybank for every Christmas tree sold.
Hollybank provides a home and school for children with complex disabilities.
Physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy teams work alongside teachers, carers and nurses to support each individual.
