NETWORK Rail bosses have apologised for problems for commuters taking trains from Huddersfield this morning.

Following problems yesterday, the company reported at 7.30am that the route involving Bradford Interchange, Halifax, Brighouse, Huddersfield, Deighton, Mirfield and  Wakefield Kirkgate is facing problem due to a problem with lineside equipment which is causing disruption near Bradley.

Because of this, the following alterations will apply until further notice:

Trains from Halifax to Wakefield Kirkgate will not call at Huddersfield and Deighton.

A Network Rail spokeswoman said: "There are damaged points in the Bradley area and we can't move them at the moment.

"We need to source a new part."
