THOUSANDS of commuters have been left with delayed journeys home after a power cut affected Leeds railay station.

The major electrical fault, which public transport body Metro said was at a York signalling centre, has caused disruptions to all lines and train operators including Northern Rail and Transpennine, which run services from Leeds via Huddersfield.

The delays were expected to last till 8pm. Replacement bus services are operating.
