LONGWOOD Mechanics Hall is to stage its 15th art show next month.
This year’s show will be extra special as it coincides with the hall’s 150th anniversary and also the opening of its new porch.
Entries are now needed and the exhibits will be displayed throughout the imposing Victorian building on Longwood Gate.
The exhibition opens on the evening of Friday, September 12, and will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, September 13, and from 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday, September 14.
The event will also feature craft stalls and demonstrations and coincides with Longwood Sing on the afternoon of Sunday, September 14.
It costs £1 per picture and anyone wanting to exhibit their work which can then be sold to visitors should contact hall manager Derek Fairbank on 01484 311303.
