A KNIFEMAN who raided a fast food restaurant calmly walked away after committing his crime.

The robber crept into Burger King on King Street in Huddersfield town centre at 7.30am yesterday.

He then threatened terrified staff with an 8in kitchen knife and forced them to hand over cash.

He then walked out of the restaurant and along Queen Street.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw him to come forward.

He was described as Asian, 5ft 8in and stocky.

He wore a black netting-type mask - similar to a stocking - a light cream or tan waist-length zip-up jacket and carried a black satchel-type shoulder bag.

Anyone with information should contact Det Sgt Mick Smith at Huddersfield CID on 01484 436582.
