A MAN who carried out a sex attack on a teenage boy during a train journey may live in Huddersfield.
The 15-year-old victim was on the train from Sheffield to Huddersfield when the attacker struck - and then got off at Huddersfield.
The victim was attacked in a carriage and British Transport Police are urging any passengers who saw what happened to come forward.
The attack took place on the 11.45am Sheffield to Huddersfield train on May 15, but details have only just been released by the police.
A spokeswoman said: "People may have seen the man and the boy on the train and not realised what was happening.
"The man is quite distinctive so we hope someone will recognise him from the description.
"He got on the train in Sheffield and got off in Huddersfield so could live in either place or have links to both."
The victim was travelling home to Lincoln when he was assaulted.
The attacker was described as white, aged 48 to 50, with short grey hair and a wrinkled face.
He wore a patterned jumper with red and green squares and triangles, grey trousers and black shoes.
