Police were last night hunting a gunman in Huddersfield.

A shot was fired at a car in Walpole Road, Crosland Moor, on Sunday in what detectives say was a targeted attack.

No-one was hurt but the car was damaged.

The road was sealed off on Sunday evening as police made inquiries and yesterday, police officers carried out patrols to reassure residents.

A spokesman said: “No-one was injured in the incident, which is believed to be targeted, and officers are following lines of enquiry.

“Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101.”

Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
