A HUSBAND went on trial today, accused of stabbing his bride to death in front of her family.
Factory worker Amir Shazad, 29, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Nusrat Ali.
The 25-year-old was repeatedly stabbed in the garden of her Middlesbrough home last August 17.
The call centre worker, who lived in Lothian Road, died in hospital three hours after the attack.
The Recorder of Middlesbrough, Judge Peter Fox, is presiding over the trial at Teesside Crown Court of Shazad, also of Lothian Road.
