VIBRANT images of Dewsbury created by its residents have gone on display.

The pieces - depicting local places and buildings - will be on display in Dewsbury Museum until the end of January.

People of all ages and backgrounds were inspired to work on the project.

They had viewed exhibitions at the museum by former Ravensthorpe man Peter Hammond and local photographer David Arnison.

The artists have reflected their passion for North Kirklees through paint and photography.

Participants then produced their own artwork influenced by their techniques.

The images for the exhibition were made with the help of museum outreach staff and artist Lesley Fallais.
