AN inquest on a grandmother who went missing from her Lockwood home was opened and adjourned in Bradford.
The body of 64-year-old Ann Colam-Ainsworth was found on Friday afternoon near Riverside Stables in Armitage Bridge.
The retired carer disappeared at 6am last Thursday.
More than 40 police officers and some 30 members of the Holme Valley and Calder Valley mountain rescue teams scoured the area around her Meltham Road home for clues about her whereabouts.
The search centred on well-known beauty spots where Mrs Colam-Ainsworth, who was a keen walker, was known to visit regularly, including Beaumont Park, Magdale and woods near Honley.
She was fit and active and had never been missing before.
The inquest was opened and adjourned yesterday for further investigations and tests.
