AN inquest has been opened on a Huddersfield man who was found stabbed at his home.

Coroner Roger Whittaker opened the inquest on 35-year-old Shaun Leonard Forde in Huddersfield yesterday.

Mr Forde was found dead at his home on Gilbert Grove, Crosland Moor, at 7.50pm on Saturday, June 3.

The inquest heard that a post-mortem on Mr Forde was carried out on June 4.

The cause of death was given as a stab wound to the chest.

Dalton man Jermaine Coore, 26, has appeared at Bradford Crown Court charged with Mr Forde's murder.

Mr Forde's body has now been released for his funeral to take place.

The service will be held in Bradford on July 5.

Mr Whittaker adjourned the case pending legal investigations.
