CARING, well-behaved and respectful children were found by inspectors who visited Bolster Moor playgroup.
The playgroup, at Bolster Moor Baptist Chapel, underwent an Ofsted inspection in November and was found to provide a good standard of pre-school education.
Inspectors said children enjoyed an interesting and stimulating balance of play and learning activities which help them develop their confidence and independence.
They group were reported to use a good range of suitable toys and equipment and have access to a large play area which gives scope for free movement.
Children are offered a large variety of snacks at breaktime and a good system is in place to make parents aware of the food on offer.
The report said the manager and staff worked well together as a team, and were good role models with high expectations for children's behaviour.
Good staff ratios ensure that adults interact well with children, show good awareness of their needs and give them individual attention.
