THERE really is nothing to praise about getting old.
Any ache or pain I used to feel on a morning used to quickly disappear. Unfortunately that is no longer the case.
But there are other things which creep up on you. Bren now puts notes on the Aga to remind her that she has something slow cooking in the bottom.
We make list of things to do and lose them. We can never find our spectacles.
However the most embarrassing thing happened to me over the last few weeks. I discovered I have been taking headache rather than cholesterol tablets each night.
I go to bed later than my wife and in an effort not to disturb her never turn on the light.
This being the case I "feel" for my tablets in the bedside cabinet.
In my defence the packaging of the two sets of tablets is almost the same.
Isn't it a good job they weren't laxatives?
