ELLEN Davidson certainly won't be lonely this Christmas - she has five generations of her family to keep her company.

Ellen, 84, is pictured with members of her close-knit clan at Scissett Mount care home, Scissett, where she lives.

Her daughter, Geraldine Chapman, 58, is pictured (left) holding her granddaughter Evie Cherrington, 22 months.

Ellen is seen next to her, holding great-grandson Harrison Mellor, six months.

Harrison's mother, Karen Mellor, 38, is pictured next to them, holding her seven-week-old grandson, Bailey Southern.

Karen's daughter - and Bailey's mum - Louise Whiteley, 20, is seen on the right.

Most of the family - Geraldine, Louise, Bailey, Evie and her mum Paula Cherrington (not pictured) - live in Meltham.

Karen and Harrison live at Lockwood.

Paula, who is Geraldine's daughter, said the family were very close.

She said: "I don't tend to think of us as being close, until I speak to other people who say they haven't seen their relatives for six months.

"I see mine about three times a week!

"We live in the same area, that makes it so it's easy."
